The Bariatric Ultramarathon: Mohak made India 8000 kgs lighter in 12 Hours
It looks like Dr. Mohit Bhandari and his team have striven to make India healthier. 61 surgeries accomplished in 12 hours. 61 Lives changed for the better by Dr. Bhandari and his team. “At 5:30 am on 7 March, my team and I had started the first surgery, and the chain continued and stopped at 4:45 pm after completing 61 successful Bariatric Operations,” Dr. Bhandari told us.

Dr. Bhandari and his impeccable team proved their commitment by breaking the Obesity cycle by accomplishing 53 bariatric surgeries in 13 hours 20 minutes, set on first May 2019. Beginning at 5:30 am sharp this time, Monday Dawn bought a new morning to many lives for many people. Bhandari is the youngest bariatric surgeon of the country who has performed more than 18000 bariatric and 2000+ robotic surgeries.

10 Rounds in 6 OTs and all executed to Perfection
The surgeries were planned in 10 rounds, with six patients each. A team of 100+ members with their expertise and pace led by Dr. Bhandari completed these surgeries in less than 12 hours.
“Not a single surgery was performed in haste, and it has never been the objective to create a record. But as all these patients were waiting for the surgeries and Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics Centre has adequate equipment, infra, and a dexterous team to perform these many surgeries in a day, we took this task in our hands.” Dr. Bhandari said.
