This program aims to enhance the delivery of metabolic surgery through well-maintained standards based on an international bariatric training program recommendation required by a fellow to become an expert of Bariatric Metabolic Surgery.
Logbook should be maintained during the training period and will be reviewed at the end of fellowship program for final evaluation.
Clinical research activity is encouraged and enhanced with access to extensive clinical database records. There are many clinical research projects that will involve the fellows, which focus on outcome and techniques for minimally invasive bariatric metabolic surgery. With an electronic medical record system, the fellow will have access to the data on more than seven thousand patients that were entered prospectively.
